Val is from right here in Grand Cayman and was raised on the water. He prides himself on his mastery of interacting with stingrays, and knowing every nook, cranny and hidden treasure in the North Sound. Make sure to ask him to point out some of his favorites! Outside business hours Val likes to fish, ride wave runners and dirt bikes, and cull the invasive green iguana. Val loves answering guests questions about Cayman and will be sure to show you the ways of locals if you’ll let him.
Hunter is a born and raised Caymanian who after a few years in the finance industry, decided to combine his job with his passion, being on the water. When not on the water, he enjoys reading, cooking, foreign exchange trading and being a dad. Hunter’s deep-seated admiration for our marine environment is contagious, and he ensures that whatever our guests require to make memories experiencing and appreciating it the same way he does is made possible.
Slim is the ultimate animal lover and nature buff. There isn’t a living thing that you’ll see during your adventure that he can’t tell you something about! When he isn’t sharing his knowledge of Cayman with our guests he is taking care of his own animals - his dogs and his saltwater fish tanks. An expert at keeping guests of all ages intrigued and engaged with his energy, enthusiasm and nimiety of nature know-how, there is never a dull moment in a boating adventure with Slim!
Andrew was first drawn to Cayman from England as a scuba instructor, looking for a vacation of world-class scuba diving. He liked it here so much he never left and has recently become naturalized. In addition to being on the water, Andrew is a craftsman who enjoys making things from driftwood. Between his love of sharing his knowledge of the marine environment and his English humor, Andrew allows all of our guests to appreciate every wonder of the sea, no matter how big or small.
A local island boy who spends even his free time on the water, Canyon is passionate about the protection of our marine wildlife. Nicknamed “Stingray Whisperer” Canyon has fond memories of making up his own names for the stingrays as a child. A team member since our launch, Canyon loves sharing his island heritage and introducing you to his stingray friends.
